Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement prescribed treatment plans and contribute to patient education. You’ll document progress, mentor students, and support clinical teams in a faith-based health system.

The role requires an OTA credential with BLS CPR; NBCOT is preferred. This is a part-time position with day/weekend shifts in a hospital setting, aligned to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Licenses: OTA required; BLS CPR; NBCOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist and follows practice standards.
• Documents data and progress with objective terminology.
• Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs.
• Mentors students and new staff to foster a supportive environment.
• Maintains productivity and adheres to safety and infection control policies.
