Job summary

Advocate Health���s Aurora Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy Obstetrics/Gynecology practice in Mount Prospect, IL. The role requires MA credentials or 2 years of MA experience, with phlebotomy skills preferred.

Duties include vitals, histories, patient prep, injections, lab work, and EHR documentation. The position is full-time, with 40 hours weekly, typically Monday–Friday 7a–6p and one Saturday per month 9a–1p, serving 1–2 primary sites across Aurora Medical Group

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
