Job summary

Prisma Health seeks a Nursing Student Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse at Greenville Memorial Hospital. You will support the Neuroscience & Stroke Unit with essential duties, while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient and family care in a developmentally appropriate manner.
• Communicate patient status and observations to the RN.
• Perform hygiene care including skin care, bathing and toileting.
• Assist with ambulation and feeding; monitor intake.
• Respond to call lights and maintain clean, stocked unit.
• Perform point-of-care testing as trained and report lab values to RN.
• Document vital signs and patient status; provide comfort measures.
