Job summary

Prisma Health in Greenville Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Student Patient Care Technician to support the Cardiothoracic Surgical Unit under RN supervision. You will provide direct patient care, assist with hygiene, mobility, feeding, and basic monitoring as part of a compassionate health care team.

In this role, you will document observations, report changes to the RN, and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment while supporting patient and family education and comfort.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Registered Nursing Program with completed Nursing Fundamentals coursework.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total hygiene care including skin care and bathing.
• Assists with patient ambulation and feeding.
• Responds to call lights and maintains a clean, stocked environment.
• Documents vital signs and notifies RN of changes in patient status.
• Performs point-of-care testing as trained and delegated by RN.
