Job summary

Reid Health Main Campus is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant for a full-time Day Shift (6:00a–6:15p) on a 36-hour weekly schedule. Under RN supervision, you will provide daily basic care, process orders, document in the EHR, and help maintain a healing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care, with BLS readiness and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in an acute or long-term health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily basic patient care under RN supervision.
• Process physicians’ orders and maintain medical records.
• Answer calls on unit telephone and intercom.
• Assist with ADLs and patient transfers.
• Maintain infection control standards and hand hygiene.
• Document observations accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient unit operations.
