Job summary

Reid Health is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant to work in the Critical Care area. Under RN supervision, you will provide daily basic patient care, assist with admissions and transfers, and help with documentation and clerical tasks.

You will follow infection control policies, use EHR systems, and support the care team to ensure timely and accurate patient care. A high school diploma and BLS willingness are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum experience: 1 year in acute or long-term health care.
• For work-based learning, provide graduation requirements letter.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and assist with daily activities.
• Proficiently use computer systems and document patient information.
• Transport patients and coordinate care with other staff; document in the charting system.
• Maintain infection control practices, hand hygiene and universal precautions.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, calls, and changes in condition, and support team goals.
