Reid Health is seeking a Nursing Care Assistant for the Float Pool on the Day Shift. This position supports patient care under RN supervision, handles basic clerical tasks, processes physician orders, answers calls, and maintains medical records in real time.

The role emphasizes infection control, teamwork, accurate documentation, and flexible scheduling to cover unit needs. Minimum education is a high school diploma with 1 year of acute or long-term care experience preferred, with BLS required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in an acute or long-term health care setting preferred.
• Willing to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Operates unit communication equipment and uses accurate medical terminology.
• Maintains accurate records and timely documentation in patient charts and EHR systems.
• Coordinates care with nurses and other disciplines to support patient needs.
• Transports patients and responds to call lights and unit needs.
• Ensures infection control and hand hygiene; adheres to attendance policies.
