Job summary

Diversity Group is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care in a health care setting, developing basic nursing skills to assist patients with acute to chronic conditions under supervision. The NA will work within a team to ensure compassionate, safe care.

Candidates must meet English proficiency and basic federal qualification requirements; education or experience in nursing care may meet requirements. This position emphasizes patient dignity and collaboration with care providers.

Qualifications

• Six months of general experience demonstrating ability to perform NA work.
• One year of education above high school with courses related to nursing care.
• Completion of an intensive, occupation-related NA training course of study less than one year.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Charts in electronic health records or paper charts.
• Reports patient observations to the RN and treatment team.
• Set up patient care related equipment.
• Assist with orienting patients and families to unit routines and policies.
• Organize and obtain routine supplies and equipment.
• Escort patients between areas.
• Perform prescribed medical treatments such as simple dressing changes.
• Monitor patients and observe changes in condition.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrate proficiency with the continuous virtual care platform when applicable.
