Job summary
Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA is seeking a per diem Nursing Assistant II to support the nursing team. You will participate in the nursing process, assist with patient care, and help implement care plans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements include a valid CNA or equivalent credential, BLS certification, CPI training within 6 months of hire, and a commitment to quality patient care. Per diem shifts may include weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Must meet at least one of the listed nursing assistant qualifications.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification is required.
- CPI training within 6 months of hire with annual recertification.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the nursing process during patient care delivery.
- Assists with nursing care and data collection for assessments.
- Implements a formal plan of care under RN direction.
- Attends unit meetings and mandatory programs.
- Adheres to safety and blood/body fluid policies.
- Maintains confidentiality and presents the hospital professionally.
- Contributes to service excellence for patients, families, visitors and staff.
- Performs duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assists in orientation of new unit staff.
