Job summary

The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. Per diem, day shift, and driving may be required. You will perform personal care, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe environment.

Candidates must hold a Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license, have current BLS, and be able to work with patients of all ages in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• NA candidate must hold a Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license and be supervised by an RN.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic computer skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with RN to organize work and set priorities.
• Provide personal care skills as outlined in RI DOH guidelines.
• Perform basic nursing assistant tasks per RI DOH.
• Assist with rehabilitation activities and ambulation as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
• Document patient data in the EHR and communicate observations to the RN.
• Perform other related duties as required.
