Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide to assist the registered nurse with daily patient care tasks, documentation, and basic clinical duties in a hospital setting in Wisconsin. The role involves rounds, care for multiple patients, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, positioning, and transfers; collecting specimens as directed; maintaining EMR documentation and inventory; and supporting infection prevention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Good computer skills and ability to document care in EMR.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding, and positioning.
• Document vital signs and inputs in EMR and report observations.
• Perform rounds and communicate patient needs to RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge activities under supervision.
• Handle specimens and basic nursing tasks as directed by RN.
• Support supplies, equipment cleaning and stock management in nursing area.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and nutritional needs as directed.
• Maintain skin integrity and use devices as prescribed.
• Follow infection prevention policies and use PPE as required.
• Provide age-appropriate care and document accordingly.
