Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff and help maximize patient and family care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will document vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, set up equipment, and participate in rounds while maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and team communication. High school diploma required; CNA/BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working as a nursing assistant, preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
• BLS and CNA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient records with vitals, intake/output, weights, and testing results per policy.
• Provides daily physical and emotional care and monitors patients, including sitters when needed.
• Assists with dressing changes, post-op care, oxygen/suction setup, and telemetry per plan of care.
• Participates in unit huddles and communicates with physicians and staff, following chain of command.
