Job summary

South Texas Health System seeks a compassionate CNA to provide safe patient-centered care under RN or physician supervision. You will be a valued member of the Nursing Team on your unit, upholding the facility’s standards and contributing to exceptional service delivery.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or GED and CNA or MA certification, with BLS on hire. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and commit to the facility’s Service Excellence culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess one of CNA or MA certificates.
• Current enrollment in LVN/ADN/BSN program with minimum first semester completed.
• BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• Must be 18+ years old by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent patient-centered care under the direction of the RN or physician.
• Acts as an active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department.
• Supports an organizational culture of Service Excellence and applies Service Excellence Standards to all customers.

Education

CNA certificate

Medical Assistant certificate

Enrollment in LVN, ADN or BSN accredited program

First semester completion

BLS on hire and current thereafter
