Job summary

Southwest Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team. In this role, you will provide hands-on patient care that promotes comfort, safety, and dignity for every individual we serve.

You’ll perform routine CNA duties, assist with personal needs, document assessments and vital signs, and support nurses by reporting changes promptly. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and patient privacy in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an approved CNA course (required)
• Additional coursework in medical terminology, technology, or basic computer skills (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care within the CNA scope of practice
• Assist with personal needs, comfort, and environmental safety
• Admit patients, complete assessments, and ensure timely documentation
• Collect and report vital signs, I&O, weights, and other key data
• Keep the nurse informed of changes in patient condition
• Scan and document supply charges; assist in reconciling missing charges
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Demonstrate competence through annual and unit-specific skills validation
