Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Inpatient Rehab Unit at Miller Dwan. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, supporting safety and comfort while contributing to patient recovery.

Position requires 64 hours every two weeks, every other weekend, rotating 8 hour shifts (6:00am-2:30pm, 2:00pm-10:30pm, 10:00pm-6:30am) with 0.8 FTE. There are robust benefits and an active union environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the specified nursing assistant qualifications.
• Candidate must be eligible for BLS certification or obtain it within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Take vitals and document records accurately.
• Assist with personal hygiene and nutritional needs.
• Notify RN of any changes in patient condition promptly.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to aid healing.
• Assist with transfers and mobility as needed.
