Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant I certification with NC DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Prefer six months of nursing assistant experience.
• Fluent in verbal and written English and able to develop basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, and procure equipment and supplies during emergencies.
• Aid patients in reality orientation and participate in behavior modification plans/therapy in psychiatric settings, with de-escalation of potentially aggressive patients.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
• Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
