Job summary

Cayuga Health is hiring Nursing Assistants for on-site roles at Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY. You will support nurses with direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living and participate in rounding and education initiatives to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Orientation is required before your unit start date. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and can obtain BLS if not already certified.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent experience.
• BLS certification available (provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care including toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring intake/output and vital signs.
• Reinforcing patient education and safety measures with patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized bedside area for a safe workspace.
• Intentionally round on each patient every hour.
• Complete mandatory orientation: one full week of Monday–Friday 8a–4p prior to starting.
