Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality patient care. You will assist with daily activities, transport patients, and help maintain safety and comfort for patients and families.

The role involves performing vital signs, preparing supplies, and supporting continuity of care across levels I–III with emphasis on teamwork and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS and CNA certifications required; CPR certification preferred.
• Experience level scales by level I/II/III with increased responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
• Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
• Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
• Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
• Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
• Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
• Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
