Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Navicent Health Medical Center - Psychiatric unit in Macon, GA. This is a full-time, 36-hour week position with a 7a-7p schedule across three shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You will provide direct patient care across body systems, assist with transfers, monitoring, hygiene, safety, and documentation, working under RN supervision. The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and adherence to unit policies to ensure a safe, clean

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• CNA certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate with patients and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Personal care for all body systems, including bathing and hygiene.
• Pre- and post-op care and post-mortem care as assigned.
• Monitor patients, document intake/output and vitals.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and mobility.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of patient areas and equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and effective communication with care team.
• Record and report abnormal findings to RN promptly.
