Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a dedicated Patient Transport teammate at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, GA. This full-time role supports clinical teams by moving patients, beds, and supplies across the hospital, with 40 hours per week and a 3pm-11:30pm schedule, including some weekends.

Responsibilities include safe patient handling, documenting transports, cleaning equipment, and collaborating with caregivers to ensure timely and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Current AHA BLS certification within three months of hire.
• Ability to adapt to changing areas and use good judgment.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Register transport requests and complete transport in the system.
• Move patients using lift equipment with proper safety.
• Assist with positioning for procedures and transports to discharge area.
• Transport bodies to the morgue and escort funeral directors as needed.
• Clean equipment and report broken items for repair.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care team.
