Job summary

FMOL Health seeks a Nurse Tech to provide basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include patient admission/discharge, data collection, and ensuring clean, orderly patient areas.

The role supports physicians during examinations and tests, administers or delivers medications, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. Candidates must be enrolled in an approved nursing program with basic patient skills completed.

Qualifications

• Student nurse in good standing with completion of basic patient skills within nursing program.
• Must be a student nurse currently enrolled in either RN or LPN accredited School of Nursing program as described, with clinical rotations completed.
• Communication, customer service, computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient admission, discharge, and transfer.
• Measure and document patient data (e.g., weight, vital signs, oxygen saturation) and report changes to the nurse.
• Assist with ADLs including personal hygiene, linen changes, meals, and elimination.
• Assist with patient transport and mobility needs.
• Retrieve and deliver medications to the nurse or secure location as directed.
• Keep patient rooms and nursing stations clean and orderly.
• Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and tests; collect and transport specimens.
• Perform procedures under supervision and use equipment safely.
• Adhere to nursing standards and quality improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
