Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of sitter course upon employment.
• Current American Heart Association BLS; Heartsaver AED.
• Current certification in CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention).
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with daily living activities with compassion and safety.
• Performs tasks to support patient comfort under supervision of licensed nurse.
• Documents observations, vital signs, and other care in CIS as directed.
• Transports patients to departments for testing and to designated areas as needed.
• Assists with meals, sponge baths, oral hygiene, and dressings as appropriate.
• Reports any unusual findings or changes in patient condition to nursing staff.
