Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH is seeking a part-time Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The role involves performing basic age-specific nursing tasks, observing patients, and reporting changes to the RN.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, one of STNA/CNA certs or nursing student status, and BLS certification. Strong computer skills and ability to work nights are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• STNA or completion of HCA training with acute care certification, or nursing student who completed first acute care clinical semester, or 1 year of clinical experience.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care including bathing, hygiene, and basic needs under RN direction.
• Observes patient responses and reports deviations to RN/physician.
• Obtains and records vital signs, height, and weight.
• Assists with mobility, positioning, and range of motion.
• Performs bedside venipuncture and collects specimens as needed.
• Maintains clean and safe patient environment and follows universal precautions.
