Job summary

Crawfordmentalhealth is seeking a Mental Health Technician to assist in treatment and rehabilitation of clients with behavioral health disorders. The role includes answering phones, greeting clients, and supporting staff with clerical duties, medical records, and client activities within a treatment unit or residential program.

Responsibilities include monitoring passes and curfews for reintegration care, maintaining confidentiality, and providing receptionist support under supervision.

Qualifications

• MOAB training for aggressive behavior management is required.
• First Aid CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements, UA, background check, TB skin test and medical health assessment.
• Knowledge of alcohol/drug and/or mental illness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow dress code policies of various locations including schools, jails, courts, detention centers, and other partners.
• Develop effective written and verbal communication.
• Learn to operate all general office equipment.
• Gain proficiency in using a PC-based word processor.
• Acquire the ability to function competently as a receptionist.
• Understand and perform electronic record filing.
• Understand confidentiality regulations.
• File, maintain client records and perform general office duties.
• Learn how to monitor weekend passes and curfew for reintegration level of care.
