Job summary

The Crawford County Mental Health Center is seeking a Mental Health Technician to aid in treatment and rehabilitation for clients with behavioral health disorders. You will assist clients in daily living in a treatment unit or residential program, answer phones, greet the public, and support staff with documentation and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• MOAB training provided to recognize, reduce, and manage violent behavior.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including background check and health assessment.
• Knowledge of alcohol/drug use or mental illness is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow dress codes for various locations including schools and detention centers.
• Develop effective written and verbal communication.
• Operate general office equipment and word processing.
• Function competently as a receptionist and maintain client records.
• Monitor weekend passes and curfew for reintegration level of care.
• Document client interactions and report to leadership.
• Provide support for daily operations and training alongside MHT II or higher.
