Central Florida Behavioral Hospital in Orlando is seeking a Mental Health Tech to provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders, ensuring safety and wellbeing on the unit. You will monitor patients, participate in groups, and support daily living activities under supervision.

The role emphasizes observation, documentation, and collaboration with the care team in a fast-paced hospital setting, with day shift hours and weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting
• CPR (May be acquired after hire)
• Effective Oral and Written Communication Skills
• Team work
• Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM (Rotating Weekends Required)
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: M & Tu 9 AM - 5 PM
