Universal Health Services, Inc. operates Central Florida Behavioral Hospital, a 174-bed private psychiatric center in Orlando, FL.

The Mental Health Tech provides direct care to children, adolescents and adults to ensure safety on the unit. Duties include patient observation, facilitating therapeutic groups, assisting with daily living skills and documenting in the patient record; shifts are day hours with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Pass a Level 2 Background Investigation.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years experience working in a psychiatric setting.
• CPR (May be acquired after hire).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Team work.
• Hours: Day Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM (Rotating Weekends Required).
• Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: M & Tu 9 AM - 5 PM.
