Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) seeks a Mental Health Technician (MHT) in Savannah, GA. The role focuses on hands-on patient support, crisis intervention when needed, and active participation in treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.

You will observe, document, and assist in daily living activities, contributing to safety and positive patient outcomes in a 145-bed pediatric/adolescent and a 50-bed adult facility setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be a steady, supportive presence in patients' daily lives, guiding meals, activities, and programming.
• Maintain safety by anticipating challenges and de-escalating situations.
• Build trust-based relationships through positive communication and encouragement of healthy behaviors.
• Support screenings and assessments with Clinical and Admissions teams from the start of care.
• Assist patients with daily living activities to promote independence.
