RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Mental Health Direct Support Professional (DSP) in North Carolina. This entry‑level role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental health needs in community or residential settings.

A bachelor’s or associate degree (or high school/GED with extensive experience) is preferred, with strong crisis management and communication skills. The DSP will participate in person-centered planning, assist with daily living activities,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or an associate’s degree with three years’ experience or high school diploma or GED and five years of experience working with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities is preferred.
• The Direct Support role is an entry-level position that does not require any previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Employee Health and Safety and follows safety procedures.
• Supports person-centered coaching and helps individuals develop healthy personal and social habits.
• May transport individuals to day programs, appointments, and community activities; assists with meals, personal care, and daily living activities.
• Provides crisis response during working hours and on-call; documents data and progress.
• Confers with supervisors and other staff to implement plan outcomes and maintain privacy and dignity.
