Job summary

RHA Health Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in North Carolina. The DSP provides personalized support to individuals with disabilities, helping them engage in the community and pursue personal goals. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, advocating for rights, ensuring safety, and promoting independence under supervision.

Rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. This is a part-time, on-site position with opportunities for training and skill development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work and events.
• Teach and support independent living skills and daily living activities.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
