Job summary

NHC Place St. Peters Memory Care in St. Peters, MO is seeking a friendly Receptionist to create a positive first impression and deliver excellent customer service in a healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate will handle visits and calls, manage light administrative tasks, and support various center operations while multi-tasking in a professional, courteous manner. Prior healthcare reception experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as receptionist in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent customer service while multi-tasking calls and visitors.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Type at least 45 words per minute with accuracy.
• Professional in person and on the telephone.
• Proficiency in Standard English.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors.
• Answer telephone in a pleasant clear voice, screen or transfer calls, and deliver messages.
• Type correspondence including minutes and the center newsletter.
• Complete and assemble admission package.
• Receipt all monies for General Account and Patient Trust Fund.
• Sell meal tickets to employees and visitors; manage petty cash records.
• Make petty cash disbursements and date, sort and open mail.
• Disburse from general petty cash and dispense paychecks.
• Handle employee insurance and workers’ compensation forms under Administrator.
• Follow Company and Center policies; perform other duties as assigned.
