Job summary

Koelsch Communities’ Canterbury Gardens memory care is seeking a skilled CNA to join the Resident Services Department on a full-time basis. Shifts include evening hours, with pay between $20.50 and $21.50 per hour depending on experience.

New CNAs are welcome to apply and growth opportunities are highlighted by a strong benefits package and referral program. Community-first care is emphasized in a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Washington State CNA certification.
• NARs, EAs, RAs, and/or HCAs will need additional training and testing prior to working and earning the same rate as a CNA.
• Must have ability to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and applicable state rules and regulations.
• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility.
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance.
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary.
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents.
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times.
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
