Job summary

Canterbury Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Richmond, VA, is hiring CNAs for full-time or part-time roles with daily pay. The 190-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility emphasizes comfort, dignity, and meaningful care, guided by Passion, Respect, and Excellence.

As a CNA, you will provide basic resident care under licensed nurses, assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and support the care team to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active CNA license in the state of employment.
• Valid BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated compassion, patience, and commitment to high-quality resident care.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic resident care under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing staff in a safe, compassionate, and respectful manner.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and changing linens.
• Provide supportive care to ensure residents’ physical, emotional, and daily living needs are met.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment that promotes dignity and well-being.
• Support nursing staff and the care team in delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.
