Job summary

Senior Lifestyle in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a compassionate Memory Care Assistant to support residents with activities of daily living, promoting dignity and independence. You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility while encouraging participation in personalized activities.

You will participate in one-on-one and group activities, assist with meals, memory care laundry, and light housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors with dementia and participation in activities is preferred.
• Proficiency in English to perform duties and respond to emergencies.
• You may need a CNA or CHHA license depending on the state.
• Basic computer skills; Outlook, Excel and Word required.
• Compassionate, kind, engaging and helpful.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and support to residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Lead one-on-one and group activities.
• Serve residents during meals, assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping.
• Ensure concerns are addressed with timely response and follow-up.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors and co-workers.
