Job summary

Oakmont of El Dorado Hills is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to administer medications to residents and assist with personal care, under nursing standards and company values. The role supports activities and coordination with staff, pharmacies, and physicians.

Qualifications

• Prefer one year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE.
• Based on state regulation, training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, and residents.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with coworkers and other departments.
