Qualifications

• Must be certified as Medication Technician per State regulations.
• Must maintain certification per State regulations.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications as prescribed; record accurately.
• Observe and report symptoms or adverse effects.
• Determine and record medication effectiveness.
• Store medications safely per policies and regulations.
• Monitor medications and accountability at shift changes.
• Inspect and monitor equipment and supplies for safety.
• Document vital signs as indicated during administration.
• Follow infection control practices and OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards.
• Communicate clearly with residents and staff; seek guidance when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Resident Care Director or supervisor.
