Job summary

Viva Senior Living at Stafford is seeking a Medication Technician to administer medications and monitor residents under physician prescriptions and state/federal regulations.

You will observe and report any medication-related changes, store medications safely, and ensure residents' rights are respected. Strong adherence to policies and teamwork with the Resident Care team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed coursework and examinations to obtain certification as a Medication Technician per State regulations.
• Must possess knowledge of state medication techniques.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Administers and accurately records the administration of medications for residents as prescribed by the physician in accordance with policies and state/federal regulations.
• Observes and reports symptoms or conditions related to medication interactions or adverse reactions.
• Determines and records effectiveness of medications and upholds residents' rights during administration.
• Stores medications safely according to policies and regulations.
• Monitors medications for accountability from order to change of shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned or per the Resident Care Associate job description.
