Qualifications

• Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in word processing and electronic medical records.
• Education/Experience: HS diploma/GED; 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Certificates: Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating others—residents, families, visitors, and associates—in the same way we would like to be treated.
• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.
• Speaks to/interacts with residents at all levels of care, showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.
• Observes and reports health and emotional changes to supervisor daily.
• Serves and assists residents in dining rooms at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
• Initiates and participates in leisure activities as described in the activity calendar.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
• Performs daily general housekeeping duties following schedules.
• Ensures a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
