Job summary

White Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care in Michigan is seeking a Medicine Technician (Med-Tech) to support residents with daily living activities and medication administration. Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• EMR proficiency and basic computer skills are required

Responsibilities

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents
• Assists with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Interacts with residents with empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
• Observes and reports changes in residents' health and emotional well-being
• Serves and assists residents in dining room at meals daily
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and adheres to safety protocols
• Responds promptly to resident requests and inquiries
• Signs residents out when leaving the community
• Maintains knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality
• Assists in training of new employees
