Responsibilities

• Assist with medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Monitor residents for side effects, adverse reactions, and effectiveness of medications, reporting any concerns to the nursing staff or supervising healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of medication administration, including the management of medication cabinets and storage areas.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medication regimens and health-related inquiries.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and update care plans as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding assistance with medication.
• Participate in training and continuing education programs to enhance knowledge and skills related to medication management. Along with having up to date certifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
