Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) qualification or completion of the 75-hour CNA course plus the company Medication Administration course.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly or at least ten times per shift.

Responsibilities

• Provides medication administration for residents.
• Takes orders, documents orders, orders medications, receives medications, and administers medications.
• Performs nursing care tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with enemas and suppositories.
• Follows universal precautions and hazardous chemical safety procedures to protect residents and staff.
• Communicates with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure quality nursing and medication orders.
• Alerts supervisor to changes in residents' status and communicates with family and administration as needed.
