Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and state-approved medication technician training.
• Certification as a Medication Technician (CMT) or equivalent credential.
• Experience in healthcare settings, preferably nursing homes or assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications with guidance following provider instructions and protocols.
• Document medication administration details (dosage, time, reactions) in EMR.
• Monitor changes in residents’ condition and report concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist with resident assessments and contribute to care plans with the team.
• Maintain medication inventory and proper storage per safety rules.
• Educate residents and families about medication regimens and health management.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices.
