The SR Companies are seeking a dedicated Medical Technician (Med-Tech) to join our Heartful Care team in Austin, TX. This role involves supervising medication administration, assisting with activities of daily living, dining, and light housekeeping while fostering independence and dignity for residents.

You will engage with residents and families empathetically, document health changes, and support safety and cleanliness in a respectful, compliant environment.

Qualificações

• Language ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedures, and manuals.
• Math ability to perform basic arithmetic with money, measurements, and units.
• Reasoning ability to apply instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
• Computer skills to use word processing and electronic health records.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADLs, meal service, and light housekeeping while promoting independence.
• Interacts with residents and families with empathy, kindness, and respect.
• Observes health and emotional changes and reports to supervisor.
• Provides dining room service at meals.
• Supports leisure activities per the activity calendar.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and follows cleaning schedules.
• Responds promptly to resident requests for assistance and inquiries.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and signs out residents when leaving the community.
• Participates in training and mentoring of new employees.
