Job summary

Prestige Senior Living in Medford, Oregon is seeking a Medication Technician to provide medication services and direct resident care. You will assist with daily living activities, housekeeping, and meal support, while upholding dignity and independence of residents.

Responsibilities include operating the medication room, processing orders, administering medications, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with pharmacies, and reporting changes to the Health Services Director.

Qualifications

• One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred or required by state regulations.
• Must hold state-required medication pass certification or other required certification, and complete delegation and/or training requirements.
• CPR certification and First Aid training required; Food Handlers permit as required by state regulations.
• Word processing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operation of the medication room and services per physician orders and state regulations.
• Administers and assists with the self-administration of medications per state regulations.
• Maintains accurate records of medication and treatment in residents' clinical records.
• Coordinates with pharmacies for medication orders and refills.
• Reports medication errors and changes in resident condition to HSD and physicians.
