Job summary

The Stratford in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support the clinical team with medication administration and specialized resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State Medication Aide certification preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Experience in senior care or assisted living preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration, safety protocols, and infection control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring proper dosage, timing, and documentation.
• Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs, including ADLs.
• Maintain accurate and timely medication records and report adverse reactions or medication errors.
• Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition and notify the healthcare team.
• Ensure medications are stored safely and securely per state regulations and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for optimal care.
• Follow all regulations, guidelines, and protocols for medication administration and safety.
