Job summary

Kingswood Reserve is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support our clinical team with medication administration and specialized care for residents. The role emphasizes accurate dosing, adherence to safety protocols, and thorough documentation.

You will collaborate with nursing staff and physicians to monitor resident responses, ensure proper storage of medications, and assist with daily living activities, contributing to a safe and supportive living environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State certification as a Medication Aide preferred, on-the-job training available.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in senior care or assisted living (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents as prescribed, ensuring proper dosage and documentation.
• Specialized Care Support: Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs, including assistance with ADLs.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate medication records and report adverse reactions or errors to the supervising nurse.
• Resident Monitoring: Observe for side effects or condition changes and notify the healthcare team.
• Medication Storage & Handling: Ensure safe, compliant storage of medications.
