Kingswood Reserve is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide - SIC to support our clinical team in administering medications and providing specialized care to residents. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, resident monitoring, and collaboration with healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• State certification as Medication Aide preferred; on-the-job training available.
• Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly senior care or assisted living, preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medication administration, safety protocols, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage, timing, and documentation.
• Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs, including assistance with ADLs.
• Maintain accurate and timely medication records and documentation, including reporting adverse reactions or medication errors to the supervising nurse.
• Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition related to medication, notifying the healthcare team of concerns.
• Ensure medications are stored safely and securely in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for residents.
• Follow all regulations, guidelines, and protocols for medication administration and safety to ensure high standards of care.
