Job summary

The Experience Senior Living Team seeks a Medication Assistant in Fort Collins, CO to support residents with medications, reminders, and administration following state guidelines. You will maintain digital records and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safe, timely care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2–4 years related experience or training.
• Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
• Must complete ESL medication competency on hire as required by state regulation.
• First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and company standards.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Able to communicate with residents, family, and colleagues with a warm, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations.
• Administers medications as allowed by state guidelines.
• Order and receive medication and ensure availability; communicate with pharmacy.
• Maintain resident records in the digital platform daily (medication distribution, incidents, observations).
• Perform room visits and room checks regularly.
• Assist with resident care when needed.
• Respond promptly to resident requests, including emergency pull cords and calls.
• Communicate changes to Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse on duty.
• Audit rooms for medications residents self-administer and ensure guideline compliance.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers to address resident issues.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
