Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least six months experience in an assisted living community preferred.
• US Citizenship or evidence of a valid Alien Work Permit.
• Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state.
• Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Adhere to the HIPPA privacy policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families and employees.
• Completes necessary care documentation (written and or electronic) timely and accurately.
• Helps residents with all personal care functions as needed.
• Dispenses medications under the direction of a licensed nurse according to established procedures.
• Supervises the Residents medications under the direction of the service plan according to established procedures and regulations.
• Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Redirection, monitoring and observation that are integral part of a personal care plan.
• Redirection and intervention for behavior, including observation and monitoring.
• Incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan in the above items.
• Responsible for observing clients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
