Qualifications

• Certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) or Certified Medication Aide (CMA) by the state.
• Maintain a CNA Certification in good standing with the state.

Responsibilities

• Set up, administer, and record prescribed medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Follow the five rights of medication administration.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
• Label, store, receive and destroy medications per policy.
• Document medication administration as directed by nursing supervisors.
